sexuality & spirituality

I used to be a Pure Romance consultant.

I used to be one of those women giving up my weekends to...

  • 1) Showcase Pure Romance products

  • 2) Empower women to be and feel sexy

  • 3) Teach women about their bodies

  • 4) Make some extra money

My tagline for my Pure Romance business was...

"Keeping married women married and single women safe!"

Cute, huh?

Well I believed in that 120%. I can see now how I made the transition into teaching divinity so easily. Sexuality and spirituality go hand-in-hand!

While selling Pure Romance products, I realized that a lot of women have NO IDEA what is/was going on with their bodies. They have no idea why their bodies do what they do. Some had no idea that they too were supposed to enjoy sex. A lot of women had no idea how to take basic care of their vagina's or how they work.

(And no, Irish Spring soap should NOT come close to your yoni! Why do you think Monistat has stayed in business so long??)

And to make this a tad bit more thorough (and because ALL women need to know) read about what's really going on in your panties!

Woman take their sex life and body for granted and then wonder why, 20 years from now why they dislike themselves and have a sad sex life.

Understanding what our bodies do is of utmost importance.

Ladies, our bodies are powerful!!!

Please stop giving away your power.

And not to suggest that men are any better, because they're just as clueless....

They too have no idea about their bodies either. They don't understand the power within their semen. They don't understand the importance of their prostate. And sadly, for most men their sex life sux as well after 20 years of abusing it.

Warriors, basketball/football players, and soldiers all know the importance of NOT having sex before they have to perform. Men... your power lies between your legs as well. Why do you think "they" want you to waste your sperm? Why do you think that "they" want to keep you weak and vulnerable all the time? When you spill your seed, you release your power. Period.

Men please read The Truth About Semen.

Ok, so what does sexuality have to do with spirituality??

According to

"Sexuality is closely related to spirituality in several ways. In its negative aspects of lust, sexual excess, degradation and rape, it appears as the antithesis of spirituality, and in this light it has been seen in the Christian tradition. However, in its positive aspects our sexuality can open our heart to love, and enable us to have experiences similar to meditative states and mystical bliss during or instead of an orgasm and its afterglow. In a less obvious way, sexual energies can be channeled upward to develop our energy centers or chakra system and higher energy bodies. According to esoteric and yoga teachings, this is all part of our spiritual evolution." read more here.

Learning about our bodies and our sexuality goes hand-in-hand with learning about our spirituality.

Suffering sexually definitely leads to suffering spiritually.

Release is necessary.

Meditation is necessary.

And ladies, ”Enlightenment is in the vagina

This comes from an actual phrase in Sanscrit that states: "Buddhatvam Yosityonisamasritam."  which can be translated as: ”Enlightenment is in the female sexual organ(s)”. Yes, ladies... enlightenment is within us.... literally!!

Even Deepak Chopra suggests that,

"True intimacy is union between flesh and flesh, between subtle body and subtle body, between soul and soul. Sexual energy is sacred energy. When we have restored the sexual experience to the realm of the sacred, our world will be chaste and divine, holy and healed."

I'm always reading something new. Most of the things I read are either geared to spirituality or sexuality in one way or another.  Whether its my favorite author's Eric Jerome Dickey's ebook The Education of Nia Simone Bijou to Charlotte Sophia Kasl's website on Sexuality, Spirituality and Relationships - A guide to bringing them together in our lives, it all has to do with knowing ourselves, loving ourselves and bringing our sex and spirit life together.

That's the truth of the matter.

And for those that don't know or understand... think about what happens when you or someone else "catch's" the Holy Ghost.... it's pretty similar to an orgasm right??

Let's talk about sex.

Yea, I said it.

How does that make you feel?

Does the thought of sex turn you on? Does it make you feel ashamed?

Does it hurt? Does it cause you to cringe??

If you read last weeks blog, you would have read about the soybean and it's effect on us because of its steriod and sexual properties.

I feel that the things that we are ingesting physically, emotionally, socially and mentally are effecting our spiritual lives in such a way that we need to pull back and take a look at the bigger picture.

A lot of us have gotten our sexual knowledge from tel-lie-vision, porn, church and friends. Most of us are taught that sex is supposed to be "fun" and exciting. Most men feel that sex is something that they "deserve", while women feel it is something that's "required".

Men are taught to dominate and on some level destroy.

They are taught to listen for breaths and squeals to determine the quality of their "work."

Women are taught to become passive-vixens.

We are taught to showcase our bodies, while keeping quiet about what we really need.

I know a lot of us were taught that sex was something to be done between husbands and wives. It was something to show honor to and for. It was deemed sacred because if its biological ramifications. According to the bible, men are supposed to choose a wife and on their wedding night, they are to consumate the marriage in sex. Unfortunately, that's where it ended.

The bible and church gave no insight as to what was supposed to happen after that.

What did having sex mean?

Were women supposed to just lay there? Were men supposed to receive all the enjoyment? Was it a mutually profitable union?

So then we turned to the tv and our friends and became even more confused because according to them, it's supposed to be this free-for-all that could be equated to being at an amusement park.

Now don't get me wrong... sex is supposed to be enjoyable. It's actually supposed to be FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC!!! But it can't be if you're doing it for all the wrong reasons and the wrong way.

It's true that everyone you've ever slept with has sex with everyone you ever sleep with. Sex is such a spiritual encounter that that has to be true. We are energy and in sex, we are exchanging energy. Who I am becomes who you are.

That's why, on a spiritual level, once you lay with someone, they leave their mark on you.

It's not supposed to be brutal. That's about power.

It's not supposed to be independant. That's about being passive.

We all have a feminine and masculine side. We are supposed to honor ourselves by allowing our true selves to shine through and be vulnerable with one another.

Wasting your seed or you body with someone you don't care about only leads to blockages, pain and addictions.

Having sex to get a man will only leave you open for pain.

Having sex to prove your manhood only causes insanity.

When you're with your partner, it should be about manifesting something great in your life. Yes, children come from this union, but so do ideas, creations, decisions and even money.

Take a look at your sex life. What are you manifesting? Has sex become a chore because you're no longer getting anything from it? Is it something you do just to pass the time?

For some of you who are awake, check out or and look into their sexual magick and sexual transmutation information. Change your perspective so you can change your life.
